Hiding Places: A Memoir from the Pirate Princess of Tybee Island by Deborah Elizabeth Merriman

Hiding Places by Deborah Elizabeth Merriman
Too boring to finish. I received this book free to review from Netgalley. It is a woman's story of being shuffled around among various foster homes during her childhood in the 1950s. I found the book to be rambley and disjointed and I just could not get into it at all although I tried several times. I finally gave up on it and I cannot recommend it.

  1. Most readers ( I have met) keep a open mind about what they are reading. Although everyone is entitled to they're own opinion and to say it is rambley and disjointed is unfair when trying to keep thoughts and memories together to write a book in the first place. I give kudos to the author for keeping what was a turbulent childhood in a grounded perspective .This had to be written from the heart and filled with a lot of emotions. It should also be known this author was invited to a college in Maryland by a class of students who were mesmerized with the book,.So I am airing my opinion to you to please read it from cover to cover and it will all come together . GIVE IT A CHANCE READING TEACHER !!!
